Game's Over

Well, the final day didn't bring the result we wanted as the team slipped to 5th overall losing out to China. The team actually extended on their rivals in the 1st race of the day and looked to be in control in Race 2. However, the boat-speed issues that have plagued them all week hit again on the second upwind leg with China sailing through a seemingly tight cover to force the Brits to tack away. The Chinese then used a clear lane to cross the Australian and Canadian teams to take the lead and move ahead of Niki and Alex on points.

So, whats done is done and the post race analysis can start. Watching the Medal Ceremony was difficult but it was important to make the sailors sit through it. It's tough watching others achieve something that you have worked so hard towards but that pain is what's needed to inspire them for 2012.

Today was spent packing container's which is labour at the best of times. We're off to Beijing tomorrow for the closing ceremony a hope to catch some of the Athletics in the Birds Nest.
