4 weeks until 2009 49'er Worlds

With less than a month to go until the 2009 Worlds in lake Garda the 49'er Squad fully focused on the task in hand. All 8 teams are aware of how important this event is to their 2012 campaign with selection for the squad riding on the results.

2009 had already been an impressive year with all 8 Team GBR boats performing well at the Grand Prix Events. What's more impressive is that work ethic within the squad and the open training environment we've been able to set up. As coach, the key is to ensure the effectiveness of training and co-operation between teams. This openness is a testament to the World Class Sailors recognising that the 'cream reaches the top' and trading their experience for the competition gained from bringing on the development teams.

We've followed a structured program to get us to this point so the final month is just about fine tuning or set up and rehearsing for the conditions and racing situations we expect in Riva Del Garda.
